University of Maryland University College (UMUC) is located in Adelphi, Maryland, and serves more than 90,000 students worldwide. It is a member of the University System of Maryland.
UMUC is one of the largest distance-learning universities in the world. It specializes in distance learning for adult, non-traditional students.
The college operates satellite campuses in both the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area and throughout Maryland.
UMUC also offers courses for service members—as well as other Federal employees and contractors—and their families on military bases in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
