At TheBestSchools.org, we believe that interviews with people who have interesting insights into education can help our readers find the school that is best for them.
Sometimes, interviews take the form of debates in which each party questions the other and gets them to reveal things they might not have otherwise.
Many people who are interviewed are the authors of books. While we certainly want to encourage the reading of books, time is limited and we understand that you often need a good reason to read someone’s book. For this reason, interviews can be a great place to start, getting the gist of what an author is thinking and helping you decide whether you want to delve deeper.
But not all the people whose interviews are published here are authors. Some have, as their claim to fame, teaching or other non-writing activities. Interviews can get at the gist of their work as well.
Good interviews ask the right questions and elicit frank and insightful responses from the interviewee. We therefore post articles on insightful interviews conducted by others that we think our readers will find useful and interesting. Moreover, we are also in the process of conducting our own interviews (stay tuned).
